Dispute Resolution

Sometimes businesses have to take risks to get results. Involvement in litigation is such a risk. We like to understand your business so we can help to advise on the impact a dispute can have on it. This helps us to identify the potential hazards. With sound commercial advice we can help you to achieve your realistic objectives in a cost-effective manner.

We deal with a broad range of disputes for businesses and individuals which all have commercial aspects, including:

  • commission/agency disputes
  • consultant contract breaches
  • supplier contract breaches
  • theft of confidential information
  • investigation of fraud
  • tracing and preservation of assets
  • shareholder and partnership disputes
  • claims against solicitors, accountants and other professional advisers

As well as using the lower courts to their full potential in fighting in our clients’ interests, we are noted for our High Court and appeal work on negligent references. We believe teamwork between client and solicitor brings about the best results and we involve our clients fully in their cases.

Litigation should never be entered into lightly and we will advise you if litigation is the best way forward. If not, we would discuss alternative options. We are keen advocates of mediation and the use of other ways of resolving disputes.
